Thanks to a National Science Foundation grant of almost million, researchers from Rice University’s Laboratory for Nanophotonics (LANP) are creating a first-of-its-kind microscope that combines the capabilities of scanning electron microscopy, electron beam-assisted deposition and etching of metals, e-beam lithography, cathodoluminescence, nanomanipulation, and both optical and electrical characterization.
A brief description what nano technology is and how it can help in everyday life.
